ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Cherish, founder of Cherished Beginnings KC. I am a trained birth doula living in the KC area with my wonderful husband, son, and two dachshund fur babies. I’ve lived in the KC area for almost decade and you can find me drinking coffee, cooking, gardening, and doing yoga in my free time.
Prior to being a birth doula, I spent the better part of 5 years on ambulances here in Johnson County as a paramedic. I am a nationally registered paramedic along with a certified CPR and First Aid instructor.
I am passionate about helping others. I have an open heart and a safe space for all individuals. Bringing a child into this world is one of the most fulfilling and important days in our lives. It can also be intimidating, overwhelming, and scary. My goal as a doula is to help you feel a safe, empowered, and confident birth experience.
I promise to support you in whatever birth you choose. I believe that you, as the mother, have the sole rights to decision-making in the birth room. I commit to checking my personal thoughts on birth at the door and being your biggest advocate. Whether you are pursuing a cesarean, repeat cesarean, VBAC, induction, hospital epidural, hospital medicated or unmedicated, birth center, or home birth, I commit to helping YOU to achieve your ideal birth.
